TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – Sen. Nick DiCeglie launched laws to formally rename each reference to the “Gulf of Mexico” in Florida regulation to the “Gulf of America.”
DiCeglie, a Republican representing Pinellas County, introduced the proposal Tuesday, citing patriotism and alignment with President Donald Trump’s America-first insurance policies.
In January, Trump introduced an govt order to rename the Gulf of Mexico to the “Gulf of America” simply after was is sworn-in because the forty seventh president.
