A Plantation teen died Saturday after experiencing issue throughout a dive within the Florida Keys.
Cameron Isaiah Queen, 17, was diving off Grassy Key utilizing a hookah rig, a system that enables air to be pumped from the floor to the diver, the Monroe County Sheriff’s Workplace mentioned.
He was swimming again to the boat when he went underwater, in keeping with the sheriff’s workplace. The Coast Guard and Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Fee responded, and rescuers administered CPR.
He was pronounced useless at Fishermen’s Hospital in Marathon.
An post-mortem is pending. Foul play shouldn’t be suspected.
