ORLANDO, Fla. — An Orlando pharmacy and its pharmacist have agreed to pay $50,000 to settle allegations that they violated federal controlled-substance legal guidelines by filling fraudulent prescriptions and failing to take care of required information.
Plaza Pharmacy LLC and pharmacist Paul Ezeobinwa reached the settlement with the federal authorities following an investigation by the Drug Enforcement Administration, U.S. Legal professional Gregory W. Kehoe introduced.
In response to the settlement settlement, Plaza Pharmacy and Ezeobinwa didn’t correctly determine 104 fraudulent prescriptions containing 193 refills between Dec. 22, 2021, and March 21, 2024.
