Tampa, Florida – United States Lawyer Gregory W. Kehoe proclaims that Benjamin Rubin (79, New Port Richey) has pleaded responsible to interstate transmission of threats to kill a number of federal officers. Rubin faces a most penalty of 10 years in federal jail. A sentencing date has not but been set.
In keeping with court docket paperwork, throughout the month of February 2025, Rubin started posting about his frustrations on social media. The tenor of his postings grew to become more and more violent and he started threatening to injure and kill United States officers and political figures.
On February 20, 2025, Rubin posted that the top of a federal regulation enforcement company “shall be assassinated.” Two days later, Rubin posted “I shot my TV when [U.S. Cabinet Member] appeared in an advert on illegals. Subsequent time I see her in individual the photographs shall be for her.”
This case was investigated by the USA Secret Service, the Federal Bureau of Investigation, and the Pasco Sheriff’s Workplace. It’s being prosecuted by Particular Assistant United States Lawyer Joseph Wheeler, III.
