TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – A brand new regulation will broaden employer-paid medical insurance advantages to cowl firefighters who grow to be completely and completely disabled throughout an official coaching train, and extends these advantages to their spouses and dependent kids.
Gov. Ron DeSantis signed the invoice into regulation Thursday.
SB 1202 was sponsored by Sen. Stan McClain and the same invoice, HB 749 was sponsored by Rep. Judson Sapp and Rep. Fabian Basabe within the Home.
The invoice doesn’t point out that it’s supposed to use retroactively, based on the evaluation.
The brand new regulation will apply solely to these injured on or after July 1.
