WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. – Florida Chief Monetary Officer Blaise Ingoglia on Thursday introduced $2 million in state funding to assist sheriff’s places of work taking part in federal immigration enforcement operations, underscoring Florida’s aggressive stance on unlawful aliens and continued partnership with U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement.
The funds, authorised by the State Board of Immigration Enforcement, will reimburse native businesses for prices related to aiding ICE by the federal 287(g) program.
The funding was distributed to a few regulation enforcement businesses:
- Palm Seashore County Sheriff’s Workplace: $994,000
- St. Lucie Sheriff’s Workplace: $998,605.39
- Indian River County Sheriff’s Workplace: $93,344.45
