TALLAHASSEE, Fla. — Florida Lawyer Normal James Uthmeier on Friday endorsed Scott Singer, the previous mayor of Boca Raton, in his bid for Congress within the state’s newly drawn twenty fifth District.
Uthmeier praised Singer as “a confirmed conservative” with a report of reducing taxes, supporting small companies and backing regulation enforcement throughout his tenure as mayor.
“We want strong leaders in Congress who will battle for the Free State of Florida, and he has my endorsement,” Uthmeier wrote in a publish on X.
Singer, a Republican and America First candidate, served as Boca Raton mayor from 2018 to 2026. He introduced his candidacy for the redrawn twenty fifth Congressional District, which stretches alongside Florida’s southeastern coast from elements of Palm Seaside County by Broward into Miami-Dade. The district is presently held by Democratic U.S. Rep. Jared Moskowitz.
In his marketing campaign, Singer has emphasised retaining taxes and prices low, securing borders, strengthening nationwide protection and slicing authorities waste. He has highlighted his expertise as mayor and chair of the America First Coverage Institute Mayors’ Council.
The Republican main for Florida’s twenty fifth District is scheduled for Aug. 18. Different declared GOP candidates embrace George Moraitis and Dan Franzese.
Singer responded to the endorsement on social media, saying he was “honored and actually humbled” by the help from the legal professional common.
The endorsement comes as candidates ramp up efforts forward of the midterm elections, with Republicans aiming to strengthen their maintain on Florida’s congressional delegation.
