Jaycee Park and the Vero Beach Boardwalk are one of Vero’s most popular in-town beach areas. You may also hear locals refer to this as “North Beach” or “Conn Beach”. On Ocean Drive, starting just north of the intersection with Greytwig Road, the Vero Beach Boardwalk extends almost half a mile along a beautful ocean vista and into Jaycee Park. It’s one of the best places to take a walk in Vero Beach, especially if you want to experience the sights, sounds, and spray of the ocean waves without getting sand in your shoes!
Behind the boardwalk on Ocean Drive is basically one long parking lot, which makes for stop and go traffic, especially on peak season days. There is also a large parking lot located toward the north inside Jaycee Park itself. The entire strip of beach has lifeguards, and most activity is centered around Jaycee Park, which features the Seaside Grill, a great place to grab breakfast, lunch, or a snack or drink for the beach. The park has picnic areas and barbecue grills in a grassy area along with a playground for children. Overall, it’s one of Vero’s nicest and most scenic beach areas.
