TALLAHASSEE, Fla. — Republican Florida Home candidate Erin Huntley introduced Thursday that she has acquired the endorsement of the Reedy Creek Skilled Firefighters, with the union citing her dedication to supporting first responders and public security.
The endorsement comes from the Reedy Creek Skilled Firefighters Affiliation, Worldwide Affiliation of Fireplace Fighters Native 2117, which represents firefighters serving the Reedy Creek space in Central Florida.
In a letter signed by Native 2117 President Jon Shirey, the union stated it met with Huntley to debate points affecting firefighters, 911 communicators and hearth prevention personnel.
“We’ve met with Erin to debate the problems that matter most to our first responders, 911 communicators, and hearth prevention personnel,” Shirey wrote. “These conversations gave us confidence in her willingness to interact with our issues going ahead, and we’re happy to supply her our assist.”
“Erin is dedicated to strengthening public security and standing firmly with our legislation enforcement and firefighters,” the letter stated. “Erin has confirmed that she cares in regards to the points affecting our first responders, and has saved open dialogue with public security leaders to assist discover options to points affecting the well being and security of our first responders.”
Huntley thanked the firefighters for his or her assist in a press release posted on social media, calling the endorsement an honor.

Huntley stated she appears ahead to being “a powerful voice for public security within the Florida Home.”
